The trip up to Milwaukee was long and tiring, but driving can really take it out of you. The three of use left Hickory around 9am on Saturday and rolled into the Sheraton Brookfield just outside of Milwaukee around 2am central time.
The conference in itself was easily classifiable as a success. And even though the crowd during our TimeKeeper presentation was sparse, we met many new perspective clients who recognized the tremendous benefit of automating employee time keeping.
OneWorks vendor booth at the 2010 HarrisData User conference.
Our booth came out very well. Our banners and magnets made it in on time from VistaPrint, as well our specially made table cloth. In retrospect, our future use of FedEx Kinkos for any type of printing is seriously in doubt. Our brochures were cheaply printed and quite expensive.
The HarrisData Conference is really the first time we have actively taken our products to our customer base (and with much success). With the upcoming release of HD5, the newest version of HarrisData’s ERP software package, we felt as if this was the ideal time to show the benefits of working with an experienced consulting company and using proven products that cost a fraction of our large corporate competitors. We were even lucky enough be personally plugged by Matt Manderfield (project manager at HarrisData) during his presentation on the updated HD Time and Attendance Module.
Steve and Chris on Navy Pier in Chicago on our return from the HarrisData User Conference in Milwaukee, WI.
Sunday night afforded us the opportunity to mingle with the HarrisData team, other vendors, and HarrisData users over by way of America’s favorite pastime, baseball, as the Phillies were in town taking on the Brewers. In addition to baseball, we had the opportunity to stop by the Potawatomi Bingo Casino and Navy Pier in Chicago.
We feel that the conference was such a success that we plan to regularly participate in future conferences across the country. After all, there is nothing like see our products in action to develop a true appreciation of how they can help your company.
